After reading your post I wanted to ask if the seller if pricing the item low for saving customs duty. Do they ever provide an Original Bill / Invoice for the same item through another courier or not(for warranty)? Just like in-case of new Debit Card the bank send Card and Password in 2 separate couriers.

*****
I know it is kinda off topic, but don't know where else to ask.
*****
I want to know if I buy an electronic or kitchenware from US site like ebay or others and the cost is lets say US 100$ and the moment at which I buy it through credit card(cc) the FX rate of Rs. is let say Rs. 48. So will I be paying Rs. 4800 to the credit card company or will there be additional costs like currency exchange rate or taxes or VAT.

Is the US $ charged will be FX rate of Rs. at the time i confirmed payment online or the time it is realized at the supplier/seller's account?

Also, what is the best way to get it delivered for electronic US post, airmail or courier(UPS, FedEx)?

Thanks

Our society is upgrading old intercom with some new Fiber optics technology.
They say it will deliver intercom, internet, cable, security video etc all in one fiber optic wire. It will have an ugly box mounted on a wall in every house. :[

I asked the person working on activating wires / connections if we can have DTH and ISP of our choice and he said yes.

Wot I want to ask as im not much aware of this technology is that:
1. Will it make any diff in term of quality of DTH i.e. increase or decrease it?
Will it deliver HD quality from a HD DTH?
2. Should go for stand alone installation?

If any of you have info abt this technology, please let me know.

Thanks

This is the case everywhere with Citi Ind Oil(IO) card, even in New Delhi.
Most of the time they'll say the swiping mc is not working, not connecting or server down.

IO even cheats in terms of quantity in their meter.

I use HDFC Titanium and get surcharge waived off same or next day in the bill. I dont worry about 2.5% additional cash back. Coz that too is a gimmick. By the time it is valid to use those points either the schemes has changed or the product not available.

Also, BP gives assurance on quantity and you can get it tested.

I also do not trust MSM Okhla. I completely agree with your views about their unprofessional behaviour, rude attitude, and of course, their frank sky rocketing estimates. I have single owner Maruti Uniq of 2008 model and was running it fine. I used to get that serviced at MSM regularly, but had this unpleasant feeling always, but never could realize that others also were feeling the same. During the last paid service, I was told that my car's entire gear box needs change because of loosening of clutch. It was added with their typical fear complex that they have mastered, 'aapki gaadi kabhie bhie dhika de sakti hai'. I am still pondering where to get genuine advise for this problem.!!

Don’t buy any product in home shop 18. They will not deliver the product in time. The service is too bad. If you need a good product and correct timing of delivering of product just go other website. My kind request is that don’t visit home shop 18. There is no safe to the product and I hate this website. They deliver after one month only till they will not send any information about the product. Try other website.
