Update : By working with Ferns N Petals customer care, we have been able to bring this issue to resolution

Regular readers may remember a previous post on Ferns and Petals. This is in continuation to that, I will give a short recap anyway. So here goes, I had sent a bouquet of flowers to my dad on his birthday via Ferns and Petals‘s official website fnp.in. And it turned out to be one of the worst decisions of my life.

The flowers were decayed and browning, the buds hadn’t opened in a number of flowers, they weren’t fresh and to rub salt to our wounds, the design was different from what was on the website. So going ahead, I wrote an email to these guys asking them to replace the flowers, got no response.

Then I filed a Paypal dispute against these thieves, I got a reply after a few days :

We have received a complaint from your side for the below order.

Please advice what will be the best way to correct the mistake done from our vendor side.

This had travelled a large way inside their company , anyway I asked them to send a gift of the same value as the flowers to my dad as compensation and to set things right so that I use their services in the future as well.

But by now they probably realized that Paypal disputes for Significantly not as Described aren’t handled unless they happened via Ebay, so I never got a reply :( .

New Update

They replied to me after I sent this link saying that they had never received my earlier mail, they sent my dad a gift of the same value as the flowers I has purchased earlier, my parents confirmed its of good quality. Hence all’s well that ends well :) , maybe I will give them another try later on as eventually the customer care did come through even if it was after many days.

    I had placed an order on 7th july 2011 for a delivery to be done on 8th july 2011 early morning. I had put in a special request for early morning and also had a word with the customer care to mark the delivery “early morning”. It was duly promised to me but no delivery has been made until now. I wasnt updated about the delay either. I had to call them up again to inquire. Rains has been quoted as the reason for delay. This is a lie. On my insistance i again have a promise for quick delivery today. My purpose will be defeted if it dosnt happen by 2PM today. The recipient has birthday plans and wil be moving out to celebrate. Its only fair to expect that. I am very dissapointed in placing my trust on ferns and petals. :(

    these guys are thief !!!!
    the photos shown on their website shows a hell lot of flowers in a bunch
    but when u order ur in a shocking surprise to see the quantity.
    when u complaint they say “if u click on detail button u will see we have mentioned 6 branches of lily”
    then why show a photo with 18-22 branches of lily….

    Would like to inform you while placeing an order you havent seen details of the product where its clearly mentioned quanties of the product.

    Hope next time when you will place an order through Ferns N petals.

    You will check the details of the product. Which is mentioned at below of the product.
    Eg: Product Detail:

    Product Description: Your feelings reach new heights with, this expression of .An arrangement of, over 100 Red n Yellow Roses of around, 4 feets high.

    @Sajad – Why arent the photos true representations of the actual products ? , Why do they have to be over the top not related to the actual product. Infact the images are meant to mislead the people who order from your website.

I have judge it because some days back i have call to ferns n petals regarding my order and you told me that the order has been delivered. but actually it was not. You guys are cheaters. You misguide the peoples. I agreed with Mr. Sharma, you guys are thief..

    I have been using FNP for quite some time but it happened to be the first time when i called up Customer Service to check the status of an order and it was a nightmarish experience, truly disgusting behaviour of the Customer Service Representative who arrogantly hung up on me and did the same when i called back, all this even without listening to what i had to say.

    FNP Mangement, this attitude is outright insulting and unprofessional, especially when your prices are premium. FNP Customer Service is a Joke!

    Pathetic service, please be prepared before using their services. One of the worst experiences ever. I had ordered for a bunch of roses and rasagullas, during the day called 3 times to check the status, around 4:30 when I call I am informed the rasagullas are not available so it has not been delivered, but I was not informed till I CALLED- WHY???. To top it no alternative was given, I was to receive a call back in 5 min but after 45 min no call. I pay an atrocious 760Rs (which is fine if the service was upto mark), waste MORE MONEY and time calling them. I call up after 45 min of waiting and am informed of stuff I already know with no action or alternative AND I AM PLACED ON HOLD FOR 10 MIN AGAIN, AND AGAIN I AM TOLD I’LL RECEIVE A CALL BACK IN 5 MIN. Wasted effort aS OF NOW i AM STILL WAITING for the call back.I guess they’ll deliver after the occasion.
    I am really disappointed…unfortunately I had placed two orders together I shudder to think what will happen to the 2nd one.

    I live in US and used FNP to send flowers to my parents in India recently. They do not deliver (delivered a substandard quality item) what they promise. Then their customer service keeps fooling you saying they will investigate and get back to you which never happens. Hours wasted in providing them all details but nothing ever happened. I would not recommend this site. You will end up wasting money and time and over all you will feel disappointed that you sent a cheap bouquet or arrangement. Best way to wish is to call the people to wish and gift them something when you or friends visit India.

    I leave in US & used FNP to deliver flowers to my in-laws on there wedding anniversary. I placed by order through phone, instead of online as I thought there would be no room for error. But my biggest nightmare came true, the delivery date they noted down was wrong, flowers were never delivered as they claimed never to receive by authorization email; which actually I had send within 10 mins. When I called back to check on it they said, they are checking on it & will call back which they never did. I called back again & than they said the flowers were not delivered because they didn’t receive my payment. When I inquired why didn’t they contact me regarding this, they lied to my face about calling me several times, which was a total lie. I asked them to send me a cancellation email, in which the spelling of CANCEL was incorrect( what a JOKE). There representatives purely don’t understand English & they should stop pretending they do. I would recommend don’t even bother using FNP if you are really serious about sending something. The worst & horrible experience ever. Plz for your reputation sake among your family members don’t use there services.

    I live in usa.I used this service very recently to send a cake and flowers to my friend in india for his anniversery.Firstly they did not deliver it at the time i had requested.Secondly my friend told me that the cake was so stale and smelling that he had to throw the full thing away!!!and the best part is when i called the customer service this guy is asking me to send a snap shot of that cake!!!!!!i couldnt believe my ears!i asked him if we are supposed to save a stale smelling cake cherish it and take snaps of it!!!!he said he is going to consider this and call me back.He never did and thats why am writing this .in 2009 i sent my wife birthday flowers and asked them to deliver it in her hand and at 12 in the night or early morning on the birthday.these guys delivered everything on the previous day at 8 in the evening!!!!that too to my dad in law!!!they have really terrible service.am not going to use this service anymore!!it sucks

    Useless service by Ferns and Petals. I had ordered bouquet and cake to be delivered at 9 am on mother’s day. and despite repeated calls to their gurgaon outlet near sahara mall, and their customer care – there was no order delivery to be seen. I made unlimited calls to their outlet – and there was no satisfactory answer from them. Worse, they asked me to come to their outlet, and take refund of my money !!! False promises and no delivery ! Finally delivery happened at 9 pm when my mother had slept . And what was delivered was stale flowers and stale cake. Hopeless service – I was kept on unlimited hold time from customer care service. This was my first and last experience. I will never use this service and recommend other people to use lesser known services. I remember once I could send rakhi – it was delivered in 4hrs !!! SAY NO TO FERNS AND PETALS !!

    Not sure how and why the company(Ferns n Petals) Is surviving..
    I made the worst decision of my life by using their services..
    I ordered flowers and cake bouquet for my mom who lives in Delhi on the occasion of Mothers Day, the Ferns n Petals’s representative promised that it will reach there in the first half of the day and it’s already 10:00 Pm in India now on 8th May and still there is no news of it’s arrival…

    Tried calling their hotline numerous times from Singapore but every time it was either busy or i was put on waiting which no one answered…Sent emails as well and got no reply…

    How unprofessional of them!!

    I am going to ask the to give me a formal explain of the whole situation..

    I must say that this will be my last time I hv used their services..

    I have written a formal complaint to them, but they havent got back. It is highly unprofessional of the way they deliver. I have used lesser known companies before, but this was the worst experience. Do let me know if you get some solution from them. But yes, NEVER AGAIN – FNP !!!!

    The worst service I ever experienced. The call centre is crap, no one picks up the call, I think the wait time is about half an hour. The representatives are ill trained and do not respond to the queries. The chat option on their website is only for name sake.
    I will never order from this website again.

    They are thieves to large extent, their orders are never the same what has been ordered online, I have faced it twice now.. The only response the customer service team would have i a redelivery, what’s the point? Once the damage is done.. you can’t trust FNP for the lovely ocassions of ur life.. time to move on to some other portal…

    Placed an order with FnP one day prior of delivery day thinking that it will make my girl friends b’day a memorable day, but it turned out to be my biggest mistake relying on them. They did make it a memorable day by spoiling it in every sense.
    Order which was supposed to be delivered by 2′o clock in the afternoon was delivered at 7 pm after calling them again and again. This is one part another were when i asked them and confirmed not to disclose my name even then it was disclosed and followed by partial delivery of order.
    This way FnP made it a very memorable day by spoiling it in every aspect they could.
    Thanks for your support FnP in spoiling the day which was of utmost importance for me.

    Worst place ever to place an order.
    After paying 800 bucks for a bouquet to be delivered in the afternoon, it arrived at 9pm in the night. I kept calling customer service from 4pm and they kept telling me the flowers had left. The delivery address is just 20 minutes walking distance from the shop. The delivery boy could have reached there earlier than 5pm even if he had to hop on one foot to the destination.
    Even worse, the idiot charged me a Rs 50 delivery fee and paid for a 3 buck bus ticket and damaged the flowers in the process. It looked like the guy dragged the flowers alongside the bus on a string. The lily petals were damaged and falling off and some of the stems of the other flowers had snapped.
    I refused to pay the delivery charges. However, they refused to refund the amount spent on the damaged flowers. Rs. 800 for 2 roses that survived the ordeal.
    Overpriced and no quality service or flowers. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

    I have placed order No : 700801848 which was never executed and when enquired about it , unapologetic answer.

    Wish I have never ordered from Ferns and Petals . worse service ever experienced.

    Order No.700826172: First they don’t deliver the order on the date I asked, then they don’t have any clue about the whereabouts of the product, No AWB number, no expected date of delivery in sight, then 4 days after the product had to be delivered, their courier guy says they won’t deliver it at the recipient’s home because their house is too far (it is withing city limits). Now the Customer Care service tells me the product was automatically cancelled. No one has any clue about what they are doing there. I would never recommend your product to anyone.

    The service provided was very bad. The flowers were not even fresh and the pictures on the website are very misleading. I felt really really awful when the flowers were delivered, such horrible flowers! I would never order from FNP ever or recommend to anyone.

    I have placed order on 3rd Dec & have requested them to deliver by 4th Dec by 10 AM. Called up & spoke to representative , She has confirmed that it will be delivered by 10 AM. Its no point to deliver after 10 AM since my friends have plan to go out.

    FNP Sucks…Never request my colleagues or friends to place order in FNP.

    I will never order from website again…
