Its true folks, Blogger.com now allows you to shift all your RSS feed traffic to a Feedburner feed or to any other URL. So if you shifted your blog to Wordpress, or to another domain, you can easily point to it. With google having bought Feedburner, this was always in the pipeline. Wordpress always had a plugin to shift traffic to Feedburner, now Blogger.com allows it too. Just goto settings of your Blogspot blog and enter the URL as shown :

Ok, here is the thing , i called up Airtel and asked them to add my prepaid number to the do not disturb list, which basically means i dont want the SMSes and the calls they keep spamming me with. I dont want to download a Salman Khan song on his birthday or a Priyanka Chopra Ringtone on hers. The funny stuff is that it says FREE everywhere and at the end it says call charges Rs.6 or Rs.12 per minute.
I just want to get rid of the ads that i get. 1 month ago i was told that prepaid customers would not opt for Do not disturb, but yesterday i was told the “Solution”.

SMS UNSUB to 170 (toll free) to get rid of Airtel Spam Messages and enrol yourself for DO NOT DISTURB.

The customer care guy told me it would take 5 days. He asked me if i would not like to receive the service promotions (LOL, what promotions, blatant and shameless advertising i said) , i said yes. Hopefully after 5 days i would be a much happier man

Channel number 413 and interactive active sports too, Tata Sky under immense pressure from subscribers like us has finally gotten Star Cricket so that we can enjoy the India-England series. Seen below are the alert for Star Cricket and also the cricket schedule on Star Cricket. Remember if we consumers push a company, it always has to listen, because without the consumer a company is worthless.

Tata Sky made an official announcement about their situation with Star Cricket,

“We are exploring all possible ways to protect our customers from the rise in costs as Star Cricket is a pay channel. Currently, we are in negotiations and are attempting to find a solution in the best interest of customers,”

“The cricket matches were expected to be featured on broadcaster’s existing channels ESPN and Star Sports, but now we are informed that Star Cricket, which is also a pay channel, will carry the same,”

Looks like ESPN Star Sports is playing tough with Star’s own Tata Sky, really shameful, does star own a stake in ESPN-Star Sports. Its amazing they say, watch the one dayers on Doordarshan, if we customers wanted to see Doordarshan, we wouldn’t have bought TATA Sky.

I checked out the Mister Wong Mobile edition with my cellphone after Ankit told me to, and it was the same story again. There was no filtering of URL, although the Dev team had told Ankit that only family friendly links are allowed, i could see many of the links were exactly the opposite.

So what this application does is that, it allows you to search in different ways :

You can search for sites tagged “mobi”

You can search for .mobi sites

And you can search for sites by username if the person has enabled his/her RSS feed for the bookmarks.

So its not really a fully featured mobile version, but more like a query system, very easy to replicate even for me. My honest fair opinion is that not much work has gone into the mobile edition as of yet. There should be a proper login and authentication for the mobile version also.

I guess Rohit got a taste of the Indian BPOs when he contacted the AOL Tech Support. The Tech Support guy was totally dumb and incompetent like people in most Indian BPOs. He told Rohit that AOL only supported registrar edited MX records because thats what his Helpfile told him.
Pathetic actually !, but funny too.

In the end, the the support guy told Rohit that he couldnt receive messages

And then the most classic thing, just like you say “hello… hello…” on the telephone line when you don’t want to talk to the other person, this person starts types in quick succession (actually 2 seconds, then after a mandatory� pause by the system, the last line).

LOL, Really hope someone from AOL reads this

In a boost to the grey market sellers of Palika Bazaar, Nehru Place etc., it seems that hackers are indeed making progress while busting the Iphone’s defences and unlocking it in the process. A person named Jon Lech Johansen has almost cracked the activation feature of an Apple Iphone, even though it is not using other sims yet, but one is able to use Wifi and Ipod capability of the Iphone using his method without any activation. the full unlocking is expected to take 1-2 weeks. And expect the Iphone to hit India 1 week after that.
So the iBrick becomes an Ipod, i can see the dealers at Palika Bazaar smiling already ! But for now people in India will have to wait for the Iphone.

But opera 4 is leaps and bounds ahead, it shows a miniature version of the whole webpage and allows you to zoom around and move across sections. This makes browsing a lot simpler and gives more pleasure. The only con of this is that you will not be able to see large images all at once.

This feature allows you to conveniently select which part of the webpage you want to view. I used it on my Nokia N series and it worked like a charm. And yes it opens orkut too.

Well i dont remember when the switch happened, but Opera Mini 4 Beta has Yahoo Search instead of the traditional Google search which has always been present in Opera Mini. Also the bookmarks have a Yahoo weblink by default apart from BBC news and the Guardian. This is quite a shock to Google who have been fighting for rights to be the official search partner in Internet Explorer 7 and it seems long time ally Opera too has dumped it. Only Firefox is left.
What i noticed was that the browser didnt ask me to punch in random keys, something which Opera Mini 3 had, it used the random combination of digits to create a key for encrypting your data with its server.

I decided to investigate the reason for this change. I thought they might have shifted parsing to the phone only like in some Opera mobile versions i have seen in Nokia N series, i was wrong. Maybe they now have in-built keys , otherwise Opera Mini is insecure again. Because as you can clearly see the IP is owned by them only, which means the phone opens sites through their servers.
