First things first, Futurebazaar isnt paying me to write this, although I wouldn’t mind if they did ![]()
I ordered a 2GB pen drive from futurebazaar.com recently. Frustrated with the lowly and pathetic service of Indiatimes (if you love your money, give indiatimes a BIG SKIP) , i decided to check out one of the new players in the market. Futurebazaar is the online shopping portal of Big Bazaar which is an arm of the Pantaloon group of India.
I made the payment by credit card and i received an order confirmation only a day later. It said that my Card had not yet been charged and my order would be processed after bank’s verification of the charges. Hmmm, logging onto Netbanking i saw that my card had already been charged. I waited a day, the next day i got confirmation that my card had been charged and that they are ready to ship my order and they shipped it the same day.
But the order status at the website is confusing, it shows ‘In process’ all the time if you check the main page, the individual status page is the one which changes to reflect the latest status.
I received my pen drive on the 3rd day via Bluedart at 10:00 AM dot, the package was neat , had a warranty card and a card certifying that goods were genuine(Indiatimes i am sure cant provide this, most electronics they sell are grey market smuggled ones).
All in all, a 4 out of 5 experience with 1-2 minor glitches.

I am sure you are an employee. By stating 4 out of 5, do you mean to say we are all the 5th one and the other 4 who have received the products in good condition are not blogging.. We need to unite and boycott all futurebazaar employees from writing on blogs..

The above comment was approved just because it was so funny! I mean futurebazaar paying employees to maintain blogs which existed even before the site came into existance… This is just too good!
And if you went through other posts, you would have noticed that this ‘employee’ has college exams too!

I would not use FutureBazaar if my life depended on it. My American Express card had two scams attempted to the tune of thousands of Euros. The scam was perpetrated by an employee of Pantaloon to buy goods from the FutureBazaar website!!
I have never bought from this company and if they can try that with a card they don’t even have full details of, I wonder how you guys can trust them with actual credit card details.
I have all the details sent to me by American Express. If someone knows who in Indian I can contact to get this investigated by the Police Fraud department etc. I would be very interested to have the details.

@FBK_UK
Try contacting your local police who in turn will contact their Indian counterparts.
Also write to support [at] futurebazaar.com with the evidence and they should cancel the order.

P.s. I am pretty sure if a payment was authorised the thief had full info of your card. Maybe when you gave it at a petrol pump or a restaurant, someone copied its details.

Future Bazaar online retailing is more of a fraud and unsuspecting customer are lured and fooled by ordering items. Money from customers is collected through Credit Cards, Cheques or Bank Drafts etc. Once money is received by futurebazaar than the real colours of the rougues is seen. Delay tactics is followed by sending emails messages i.e. thank you, order being processed, order this and order that, to hold on the customers money (wich may multiply in Lakhs). All the datas forwarded are false and full of lies. The customer is harassed and troubled. The game of fraud can be judged from that item are not forwarded on CASH ON DELIVERY. I had terrible experience and even after futurebazaar acknowledging that the amount is being refunded, THE REFUND IS DELAYED AND STILL AWAITED. It is recomended that dealing with futurebazaar be avoided or you may deal with at your on peril.

FutureBazaar.Com is certainly a big scam group. I have 3 friends got gray market electronics from them.. No warranty. I would rather buy an electronics with US warranty in this case. No No to FutureBazaar.

FutureBazaar are big boys scammers. They are really big timers for what we have experienced. 3 friends of mine including me got only gray market(export sets) with only germany manual. No english..
electronics from them. Seriously i rather buy electronics with US warranty. US electronics servicing is better than anywhere in the world. Screw them… Indiaplaza.in is one of their network i guess which is also no better off. I would recommend that we buy US imported electronics.

Well i am 100% sure you are lying. Futurebazaar gives an authenticity certificate with electronics. The future group buys directly from wholesalers and distributors and also has a cashback thingy. If there is one online site i trust on the internet , its Futurebazaar !

German manual doesnt mean grey market ! Indiaplaza.in is not a part of futurebazaar.com , Indiaplaza.in is the erstwhile fabmall

If that is not an advertisement, what else is. At least don’t make it *so obvious* that you have been paid for this. You could have done well with the prose there.

I don’t recommend this site at all!!! they are doing daylight robbery!!!
I paid and ordered online on Futurebazaar.com, a digital camera three weeks back and I ‘m still waiting for the refund as I received a usb key worth rs 10 or 20 instead of the camera worth Rs 5000!!!
There seems to be a confusion in the delivery process , and they pretend that it is Aramex (the delivery service) who has done a mistake and when I asked them to refund the money, they’re saying that they’re are going to do the necessary to correct the mistake but in vain!!!!
I’m still waiting for my product!!!!
Please don’t waste your money on this site!!! they are robbers!!!
