Seems like the lure of the second life virtual world is too strong for our formula one teams. Renault has become the first formula one team to establish their presence in the Second Life arena.

I know people who are making thousands of dollars from Second Life and the move seems to have a commercial motivation on the part of the Renault team whose performance on track has been dismal on the track. Lots of other major companies already have a presence on Second Life. Lets see if other formula one companies follow suit !

This seems to be the era of pen drives. But as we know with everything good, comes something bad. In college these days CDs are passe, everyone uses USB drives which are cheap and reliable if of a good company. But almost everyone in my class has had to format their hard disks and/or reinstall windows.

Reason : They didnt scan their pendrive before using it, how utterly careless.

Yesterday i had also asked a friend for some assignments in a pen drive, and as it turned out it has 2 trojans. I was saved, why ?

Because i was smart and had scanned the pen drive. You too should remember , scan all media from friends/family before using it on your computer and keep your virus definitions up to date.

Well Greenpeace has come out again with its guide to the greenest technology companies. Out of the 14th ranked, Lenovo has turned out to be the greenest of them all. The Chinese company’s efforts to take responsibility for their branded waste was appreciated.

Apple continues to be the worst of the lot, while the company is still ringing cash, its making our planet toxic also. Apple has consistently been the worst company as far as being green goes.

Iza Kruszewska, International Toxics Campaigner, Greenpeace said, “Given the growing mountains of e-waste in China – both imported and domestically generated – it is heartening to see a Chinese company taking the lead, and assuming responsibility at least for its own branded waste. The challenge for the industry now is to see who will actually place greener products on the market.”

Well its never good news for all the commercial interests in cricket when India fails to move ahead, means a loss of billions of rupees. So SET MAX is really working hard to keep their spirits up and profits too hopefully.

If you read the Delhi Times you would have noticed after India crashed out of the ICC Cricket World Cup, they started to advertise more with paid articles, with Mandira Bedi claiming that the WC was still interesting. Wow, Australia take on Bangladesh, its going to be a thriller and a must watch for us Indian fans, LOL.

Well what has happened has happened, so many companies like LG, Videocon ITC Sunfeast etc. who had bet high on this world cup ,  with India’s dismal display, are demanding a reduction in the exhorbant prices set earlier, such a reduction would set a serious precedent in Indian advertising making ad slots more third-party performance oriented.

Moreover with West Indies too crashing out, the World Cup is an official fiasco, the interest of the host nation is of prime importance , and with them no longer in the contention, Stadiums are going to be empty too.
