That seems to be the rumour across college. It seems owing to the rising competition provided by the 2 MBPS connections of MTNL , Airtel seems to have started the long and tedious task of upgrading its network to be able to provide such high speeds. People have already started seeing a difference in their speeds as much as by 30 kbps already. But still anxious users are awaiting an official announcement by Airtel about the new higher speeds and upto what speed is airtel willing to upgrade its broadband. Most users complain that while Airtel might offer better customer service than MTNL, its broadband plans still leave a lot to be desired.

It will be just awesome if they increase their speed to around 1 mbps without any change in prices. In that case unlimited plans should also be given the same speed.

Yep, thats the biggest thing, where do unlimited plans go in all of this , unlimited 1MBPS or 2 MBPS will really ring in the future for Indian ISPs

It’s completely idiotic of MTNL not to upgrade the unlimited plans.

PS: Why don’t you install the Subscribe to Comments plugin? It’ll bring back the users who commented, back to the blog, if there is any update from the author. It just struck my mind (which does not happen usually) that I had once commented here and so I should return, to check out for updates.

There’s another plugin that’s very helpful for a site like yours.

‘Related entries’. It’s a bit tough to use, but it’s very helpful. It would show you related posts, for a post you have written. For example, for this post it would show you the post you had earlier, ‘Is your ISP cheating you ?’. I’m not sure whether it uses tags to get the related post as I haven’t tried it. I’ve yet to buy a domain :D
