Apparently the government is considering banning Youtube due to it having a video making fun of Mahatma Gandhi. What my legal eagle friends tell me is that under no provision can the government do that as its not a national threat. But by passing it off as likely to create disorder in public the Government might have a way to ban Youtube !
I logged into my Orkut account after a lot of time and saw i had around 800 unread messages, whoa !!! , i open my inbox and see that 99% of messages are from people i dont know. Some sample scam emails include

All of the above messages were fully loaded with refferal messages , most of them for MyLOT , a new site on the block which pays you for uploading pictures , discussions etc. I decided to check the sites, the sites are full of garbage. Discussions range from topics with the mental level ‘is my pimple too’ red to ’should i brush my teeth’.Moreover most users seem to have a mental level of a 3yr old asking stupid questions (dont know whether delibrate or not) , the bad thing is that they encourage people to scam others , dignified referral programs always have a no unsolicitated message policy which is highly put to use but none in this case.
Ghost Orkut Members
These are the people on Orkut with fake profiles merely to send such messages ,Here is the screenshot of the communities tab of one such hooligan , 964 communities , if Orkut doesnt know about it , you got to be kidding me , moreover i tried reporting some of them as bogus, all of those whom i reported still continued to exist till day even after 2 months. This means the report features of Orkut are mere eyewash. I remember the ‘I hate India’ community , everyone i knew had marked it as bogus. Around 2 lakh Indians atleast must have marked it as illegal , but the community ran for sooooooo many days , even now many such communities can be found on Orkut.
Our take is that if you want to earn money on the internet , do work , proper work , make a website , write content , but dont fall for these get rich quick things ,you will waste so much time and end up earning ZERO.

Well this was definitely the highlight of my whole vacation to Hyderabad (yeah yeah , seeing my brother after a long time was also a highlight) , now , it was the last full day i was going to spend in Hyderabad , i was coming back to New Delhi (a.k.a. saddi dilli) via a morning flight the next day. We went to the campus about 1 pm (or was it 2 pm) , anyway me and my mom got registered as my bro’s visitors at the gate , and while my bro entered with his smart card , i had to be content with the guard opening access gates for us.
The office is definately a work of art , the buildings are made almost entirely of glass and steel , we went inside where once again we had to register and we were given our visitor passes (which basically means we are allowed inside as long as a MS employee escorted us, but as soon as someone sees me alone , the guards will zap me with lasers and make me drink truth serum(and maybe not !))
We first went to see my bro’s cubicle , the place was nice with free coffee , milk , tea , cold drinks etc. nearby. I had a cold drink and some tea. Then we went to see the cafeteria in building one, the cafeteria looked nice , but my bro told me the food is pathetic (ok) , then we went to cafeteria two , it also looked nice , but again my brother gave me the same warning , but i decided to try it out anyway. I had a pizza from the Smoking Joe’s counter, which was good but the sauces were terribly diluted (TERRIBLY). Then was the fun part , we visited my brother’s flatmates in their cubicles on the first floor , then we set out to play pool , nice ! , we had a short game of pool and i had another different flavour of tea. Then we went outside the building to see it from the back , awesome again , glass and steel and a barista outlet in the middle !!! 
We then played foosball , this is what got to me , an extremely enjoyable game , now i really wanna work here , we chatted some more in my bro’s cubicle and then headed out , this completed my trip to Microsoft IDC and what a lovely trip it was. Really inspiring in the sense that i now want to work hard to end up at a cool facility like this and not some yucky job (waise being in NSIT 20% of the job is done already , but the rest 80% is upto me).

To tell you the truth all of them couldnt care less about their consumers , they are here to lure customers into buying their product. The DTH operators have become notorious for taking money in advance and then failing to provide proper services to anyone for a long time. Moreover you cant contact the company directly , its a call center , so there isnt really much you can do but wait. On the other hand when you get a set top box from your cable operator any problem can be reported to him easily.
We will not give you the feature lists for the DTH as they are very well advertised by their parent companies , but what you should know is the features provided by the general STB provided by the cable operator , i have been using the HUMAX set top box provided by Hathway, they charge rs.78 (i think for the free to air channels plus rupees 5 per paid channel) , the set top box gives impeccable sound and video quality. It also has a programming guide which gives program details for most channels, Zoom however is one channel of which there is no information. the programming guide can be seen for the next 1-3 days depending upon the channel. Tata Sky claims to give the information for the next 1 week. The set top box also features a program scheduler , which will switch automatically to your programmed serial when it goes on air. The Hathway humax set top box also has some games , but they are apthetic to say the least , a cardboard box is more fun.
But i myself have bought a Tata Sky Digicomp (thats their fancy name for a set top box), you may ask why , thats because although a normal cable operator set top box is ok for 1 TV viewing the fact tat i have got more than one TV makes things akward, thats because i will need to get another connection of the same value to watch programs on both my televisions. However in DTH (BOTH Dish Tv and Tata Sky , i have the option of getting my second subscription for only Rs.100 per month , so while in conventional TV my cost will be twice that of 1 TV , in DTH it will be that of 1 TV + Rs.100 which comes out to be less. However the initial costs of DTH are very high , The tata sky pack i purchased cost me about Rs. 4000 (3000 for STB + 1000 installation). Another thing DTh people advertise is movie on demand , which means pay for a movie and watch it (but this is not at your convienience) , atleast one of the DTH has channels running that movie all day long , when you buy it , you can watch the channel but you cant control the time the movie would start.
FAQ 1 : can i get the feed from 1 set top box to two TVs ???
Answer : No you cant ,the modern set top boxes come with sophisticated decryption techniques based on your smart card , you cant decrypt that signal your self , if you feed the signal into 2 TVs , you will basically see the same channels on the two Tvs, same is in the case of Direct to Home , you will need 2 Set top boxes to watch the channels.

This is a step by step guide , the software is pretty complicated and novices may have problems , therefore i decided to write this pictorial review
1. Download the appropriate Software from Adobe Acrobat Reader for Mobile Devices site according to your Palm OS version.
2. Install the Application on your personal computer, this will be your desktop application which which help you sync documents with your Palm Device.
3. Hotsync your device using the software that came free with your phone , this will Install the Adobe Acrobat Reader on your phone.
4. Open your Adobe Reader , you may need to hotsync again , this will open the following window , click on OK
5. Select the PDF File you want to put in your device, you may receive the following error and file conversion MAY subsequently fail.
6. Hotsync Again, the file will be transferred to your palmtop and it will now appear in Acrobat reader in your phone.
7. Enjoy the file !!!
