I had the same thing happen to me, after about 5 months they took my domain name away saying I broke one of the terms of service rules. I asked them which one and they said they dont alow ptc. I only had one link to a ptc and a few posts about that topic. I said I would remove the ptc content and they said I could reregister the domain after 15 days. well guess what. Nope I can't re register it and it's parked at SEDO.

the Dot.tk company is a giant scam. What they do is offer you excellent opportunities to nab up great domain names for ''free'', but if you do not pay for them, they will instead steal them from your account, and park them on sedo with custom parking pages. You can see this was done to one of my widely used websites [domain removed] . I really apologize for the content of the site, but this is not the point, I advertised all over youtube and elsewhere and had quite the following to my blog when dot.tk decided they would STEAL my domain from me, without notice, and park it for money. Now I have to start over again and now have 2 years of work down the drain.

webmasters beware, dot.tk is a giant scam!

You could always use a .co.nr domain. They also give free domains, but don't require you to put ads. (They DO require you however to put a small button on your site linking to their service, which is quite fair.)

Anyway, both the services aren't giving an actual domain. All they're giving is a custom subdomain, so any .tk or .co.nr domains aren't actually registered with ICANN.
